What can I expect during my first session?

Your first session is focused on getting to know you, your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. There is no pressure to share everything at once. It is a collaborative conversation, and you will leave with a clearer sense of how we will work together going forward.

Do you offer both individual and couples therapy?

Yes. We work with individual adults navigating mental health, addiction, or co occurring concerns, as well as couples looking to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, or work through conflict together.

Are virtual sessions available, or only in person?

Both. Sessions are offered in person and virtually, so you can choose whichever fits your schedule and comfort level, including switching formats week to week if needed.

What areas do you serve?

In person sessions are available for clients in and around Aurora, Batavia, Elgin, and Wheaton, Illinois. Virtual sessions are available to clients located anywhere in Illinois.

How long does each session last?

Individual sessions typically run 45 to 50 minutes, and couples sessions run 55 to 60 minutes. Session length and frequency can be adjusted based on your needs.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance details vary by plan. Reach out before your first appointment and we will help you understand your options, including private pay rates if that is the better fit for you.

Is everything I share confidential?

Yes. All sessions are confidential and protected under standard therapist client privacy laws. The only exceptions are situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, which will always be discussed with you directly.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling so the time slot can be offered to another client. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

Do you work with clients dealing with addiction and mental health together?

Yes. We specialize in supporting adults facing co occurring disorders where mental health and substance use concerns overlap with an integrated, non judgmental approach.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can call, email, or use the contact form on this website. We will respond promptly to schedule a time that works for you typically within one business day.
